Effigy Contest

Time to get creative and test your crafty skills for the Best Guy Fawkes Effigy. As is the British custom, people would make a effigy of Guy Fawkes (think scarecrow that looks like a pilgrim) and burn it atop of their bonfire. More recently people have made more topical and news worthy “Guys”. So, create your favorite effigy, newer or traditional and you have a chance to win some great prizes.

Here are the businesses that donated prizes in 2010:

The Cricketers, Dunedin Causeway
The Horse & Jockey, South Pasadena
MacDintons, Hyde Park
Mad Dogs & Englishmen, SouthTampa
The Queen's Head Gastro Pub, St. Petersburg
Sebastian's Gourmet Cafe, Feather Sound

Guy Fawkes

Please use natural material (cotton, linen, paper, etc) so no one passes out from any nasty fumes as we burn your "Guy"
